Yea, most will no doubt say he needs to ''settle in'' so let's hope when he has settled in he starts passing the ball to a team mate rather than the other side, absolute bottom line minimum for a 50 mil quid footballer.

Scamacca has had a less than ideal start to his West Ham career , but it’s just the start .
His goals ratio in Italy suggest he has what it takes to make it in the PL .
Antonio played well last night and turned the game ….. against a team from Romania !
Cue the credits , yet Scamacca scored home and away against Viborg before illness and is now useless or Haller MK 2 .
Have people forgotten Antonio’s stats from the last 9 months .
There is every reason that both could be accommodated in the same team , not every game of course .
I sincerely hope that Moyes is not going to isolate Scamacca whilst Antonio may be on some temporary hot streak .
And btw to what do we attribute the improvement in Antonio to -wouldn’t have anything to do with competition would it !

Both had a better scoring rate than Antonio last season.

Antonio has 6 goals in his last 37 PL games.

Antonio wasn't nowhere near the premier league at that age, or playing for his country and wanted by one of the biggest teams in world football, let's hope you're not right.

I think Antonio should be on the wing. It's where is naturally comfortable and where he drifts to. He is strong, can beat players and has a decent cross. I would like him there with the big Italian in the middle

Antonio is a CF who is most effective from the bench.

All this talk of moving him back out wide is complete garbage.

The amount of space, alone, that Antonio would create from playing the wing would justify the experiment. I've wanted to see it with Scamacca up top from the minute we signed him.

The problem with Antonio on the wing is that, generally, his end product success rate is probably no better than Masuaku.

You are spot on Sir Alf.

Antonio ran those channels brilliantly last night and the balls into the box from him and Bowen were superb and it was a shame Scamacca wasn't there.

Those 3 up front with Paqueta pulling the strings would frighten most teams.

I was sat with my Chelsea MATE (on the sofa) for the Chelsea game and he ironically suggested that Antonio would make a better winger than a striker.

He hadn't a clue he had played most of his career there.

Antonio out wide with Scamacca central would be worth a try surely? Antonio won’t turn Premiership defenders that easy. They are wise to that now and foul, wrestle or whatever just to prevent that. One reason why his goals dried up IMO. But out wide a full back or wing back tends not to be so robust physically and even at 32 Antonio would be a nightmare to defend. Also he can actually cross decently. That’s what most of his shots resemble anyway:-)

Throw Bowen on the other flank, Paqueta sitting in behind and Rice / Downes the double pivot or whatever they now call it.

Wouldn’t want to defend against that.

Not Moyes tho is it?
